The University has long-standing traditions of international cooperation; it is member of educational and professional associations. This indicates that the world scientific community recognizes the University’s significant role in training highly qualified professionals in different fields. The University also holds high positions in the national and international university rankings.
University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP)
By the QS World University Rankings Karazin University is among the TOP-500 universities of the world.
QS World University Rankings are global studies and rating of the best higher educational institutions of the world significance by the indicators of their performance in education and science. The rankings are calculated using the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) methodology. Created in 2004 by Quacquarelli Symonds together with the British Times Higher Education, the QS is one of the most influential global rankings of universities.
Association of Higher Educational Partner Institutions of Ukraine and Russian Federation
The Association was founded in September 2011. Its purpose is specifying and detaining the priority aspects of Russian-Ukrainian relations in the humanitarian sphere, expanding opportunities for realization of joint educational and scientific projects, and encouraging further dynamic development of mutually beneficial Ukrainian-Russian relations.
European Fusion Education Network Association (FuseNet)
The Fusenet Association was founded under the aegis of the European Commission in December 2010.
The underlying aim of the project is to improve the quality of fusion professional training by creating a ramified educational network in the field, to spread the relevant academic activities in Europe, to encourage experience exchange.
Magna Charta Universitatum
The Magna Charta Universitatum signed on September 18, 1988 within the festivities dedicated to 900th anniversary of the University of Bologna.
The document outlines the fundamental principles a university must follow to ensure development of education and innovation in the rapidly changing world. The purpose of the document was reference to the most important values of university traditions and promotion of close relations between European universities and higher educational institutions of other regions of the world.
European Nuclear Education Network Association
This international organization was founded on September 22, 2013. Its purpose is to develop research, and preserve experience gained in the nuclear field by way of supporting higher education and instruction.
Eurasian Universities Association
It is a nongovernmental organization founded in 1989 as the association of USSR Universities. In 1992 it evolved into the Eurasian Association of Universities that today brings together 128 universities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenia, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
The Association initiates various events aimed at practical realization of the idea of belonging to the Eurasian community in the fields of education, and science. Its purpose is preserving and developing the common educational space and humanitarian cooperation.
European Association of Universities
This is the largest organization representing universities and higher education in general in Europe. It has more than 850 members across 47 countries.
The Association ensures cooperation and information exchange between higher educational institutions, initiates and carries out joint research projects.
International Association of Universities
Founded in 1950, the UNESCO-based International Association of Universities
brings together more than 150 member-states, and cooperates with various international and national organizations.
Its purpose is developing the principles of freedom and justice, human dignity and solidarity in academics, and research, as well as encouraging higher education improvement in general.
Scopus
Karazin University holds the second place in Ukraine in the ranking of the Scopus scientometric base containing more than 47,400,000 reference records and being an effective tool in tracking and analyzing citation of articles published in scientific editions.
Scopus is a bibliographic and reference database and an instrument for tracking citations for academic journal articles. It is one of SciVerse products.
UNESCO University Ranking “Top 200 Ukraine”
УThe University ranks second among the classical universities in the national ranking “Top 200 Ukraine” (five years on end) and holds the third position among all higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
The ranking methodology is based on the system of rating of the world best universities Shanghai Jiao Tong University TOP 500, which is the closest to the Ukrainian higher education system.
University Ranking by Academic Performance
The University issues 46 printed and electronic periodicals. By the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), which is calculated by the Middle East Technical University (Turkey), in the 2013/2014 academic year the University remained on the first position among the universities of Ukraine ranking 1444 among more than 2,500 best universities of the world.
National System of Rating Evaluation of Universities
As of 2013 and according to the National System of Rating Evaluation of Universities’ performance Karazin University is in the forefront of the numerous educational institutions of Ukraine, namely it is the leader among Ukrainian classical universities by two criteria: International Activity and Student Body Quality.
Academic Ranking of World Universities
Karazin University is the only university in Ukraine that is among 500+ by the Academic Ranking of World Universities, known as Shanghai Ranking conducted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Webometrics Ranking of World Universities
By the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, which analyzes the presence of the universities on the Web, Karazin University ranks fifth in Ukraine and 1378 in the world.
